There is no doubt that being involved in networking conversations is an ideal way of developing our careers. However, finding the right words to say while at it can turn out to be difficult. The introverted individuals have even a more difficult time choosing the best topic and moving with the flow to the end. Remember this; your future business deal or job opportunity is at stake, so you should never bring up these topics.
1. Personal views regarding politics, religion or race
The moment you bring in polarizing views on these topics during a professional discussion is likely to be the instance you bid your job goodbye. Although you are entitled to personal opinions on sensitive topics, it is not in your good interest to bring them up during such discussions. A professional event is never the moment to share your opinions, particularly when you are a job seeker who is talking to a potential employer.
2. Habits that imply a problem
If you have a habit that may make a stranger assume something that is not right about you, avoid that discussion by all means. For instance, do not go talking about how you get drunk. A potential employer might be made to think that you do not care much for your job and will also get drunk during office hours.
3. Personal matters that are affecting you negatively
